Two sessions are available each day the placement is scheduled.
- 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
- 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Below are your testing options if you are taking both tests:
- Take both tests in the morning or the afternoon
- Take one test in the morning and the other in the afternoon
- Take each test on a different date
A fee is charged based on placement registration—$ 30 for one test or $60 for both tests.
It is recommended to take the test if you:
- Meet the criteria outlined below.
- Did not provide UVI with your official SAT or ACT scores.

Once you add the placement test to your shopping cart, you <b>MUST click "CHECK OUT"</b> to complete your registration. You may have to create an account if you have not registered online. You will receive an email confirming your registration when you complete the entire checkout process. You are not scheduled to take your exam if you do not receive an email.

Exemptions
You may be exempted from taking the placement test and may enroll in college-level English and Math courses if you:
- Have met the minimum score requirements (see above)
- Completed acceptable college courses in English composition and/or mathematics and may enroll in appropriate courses based on the recommendation of your advisor.
- Earned an associate's degree or higher.
- Completed basic college-level math and/or English courses with a "C" or better grade.
